PETER TURNER - BIOG
Peter Turner was born in 1970, the son of publicans.

He studied Drama at Bretton Hall College and upon graduation in 1992 became an actor appearing in numerous TV productions such as The Bill, The Demon Headmaster, Lovejoy and Dangerfield.

Work as a teacher and then in theatre in education followed with Peter becoming the Education Director of Hull Truck Theatre and later the English Shakespeare Company. During this time he wrote a large number of plays and articles.

A lifelong love of wines, beers, spirits and most importantly the British Pub moved Peter to undertake a formal education in this field. In 2005 he completed the Wines and Spirits Education Trust Intermediate Certificate, in 2006 achieved a Distinction in the Advanced Certificate and in 2009 passed the WSET Diploma and is now an Associate of the Institute of Wines and Spirits.

Peter continues to write on food and drink for the local press and is currently completing a book on the drinking habits of the nation.

Peter lives in Bedfordshire with his partner, Christine, where he makes large quantities of cider.
